Cafe Questing: The Perfect Almond Croissant
September 20th, 2014

Whenever I frequent cafes, I usually get the most interesting-sounding thing on the menu [also often one of the more expensive items T_T]. However, a friend told me of how she always gets the same thing at different places so she can compare, and I thought that is a good idea. I usually compare cafes based on atmosphere because that is what I think is most important, but then I decided I could start comparing a standard item choice and see how that goes.

So, I decided my item of comparison will be almond croissants. Unfortunately, not all cafes have them, but if they do, I’ll be sure to try it out.

Thinking Cup
One of the best by far; the outside is pretty cripsy, but the inside is so moist.
Cafe Vanille
A bit sticky, but flakey!
Cafe Zing
This one was just “okay”

Crema Cafe
Different shape than a typical croissant; a bit sticky, but the middle was almond-y and moist.
Tatte
I might be bias because I absolutely love Tatte, but their croissants are amazing. Super flakey, moist inside, and…they’re gigantic. My favorite! The mint lemonade in the photo is also pretty awesome.

I don’t want to say I have a problem…but I might. I really do love going to cafes; sitting just in my house all the time makes me anxious, and Boston and Cambridge are so cafe-abundant, it’s hard not to go! I should hold back a bit though…all this sugar and caffeine…

And finally, a little Mo to top it off :]

A little bit of an intro...

This is my personal site to post some stuff – stuff that is so random I can’t really be any more specific. But if you care for photos of food, panoramas, my day, or just the thoughts that go on in my head, please stay!

I love to travel, bake, burn time on tumblr, read, cafe questing, and run around pretending to be a photographer. I also have a thing for Japanese, classical music, and food. Wherever I am and whatever I’m doing, I hope to do it with a smile, see new things, do everything, and just experience and take it all in.
